Volunteer Trail-Work Days
A Big THANK YOU goes out to Our 2025 Trail Volunteers!Pierce Pond Trail-Work Day
SATURDAY, JULY 26
Our eighth annual volunteer trail-work day in the Pierce Pond watershed was held on Saturday, July 26.
With help from PPWT Coordinator Jerry Bley, Seasonal Stewardship Staffer Nathan Kallin, and Rockefeller Intern Jenna Payne, our volunteers accomplished everything that had been planned and more.
Armed with tools, work gloves, and bug spray, our hard-working crew did maintenance and selected improvements on PPWT's existing trails including clearing, blazing, signing, and rock work. "What a fun day we had!" said Bley.
If you are interesting in helping out next year, save the last Saturday in July on your 2026 calendar. This is a great way to "give back" to the watershed!
These hard-working volunteers have earned heartfelt thanks from the Pierce Pond community for maintaining and improving watershed trails for the rest of us:
